☂ lens review (ifairy: dolly+ red)

Gather round kiddos, it's review time ♥ Today I'll be reviewing one of my favourite circle lenses; the iFairy dolly+ in red from Adelaide Little Lens! For a full review of the shop, please check the end of my previous review here.

COLOUR & DESIGN
★★★★★
WOW can I just say that these are one the most impressive coloured lenses I own? The red pigments are so vivid even against my black/brown eyes, and shows very well in photographs! The opaque black limbal ring further highlights the intense red colour and adds to the unnatural effect, which is a huge plus for cosplay. The red softly blends into my natural eye colour with specks of black, so I don't think it'll transition as well for light coloured eyes...

ENLARGEMENT
★★★★★
iFairy tends to only carry the larger sizes, and these are no exception. 16.2mm enlarges your eyes to great gREAT proportions, so wearing heavier makeup is a good way to balance it out!

COMFORT
★★★★★
I've worn these several times; once to a convention for 8+ hours, and another time to school for 6+ hours. On both occasions, there was no discomfort or dryness, and I only needed eye drops afterwards. Initially it did take a while to get use because of the size, but later it doesn't even feel like I have lenses at all.

OVERALL

As I said before, these are one of my most favourite circle lenses ever! The creepy factor and strange colouring makes it one of the coolest lenses I own and basically I'm in love it and you should be too. I have gotten so many compliments ranging from "your eyes are so cool" to "holy shit your eyes are scary." Many anime and Halloween characters have red eyes, so this is a very versatile lens that I guarantee you can get plenty of usage out of.

For the photos, I used this pair for my casual Chibiusa costest from Sailor Moon + zombie!maid for my school muck up day ♥

tw; fake blood + zombie makeup!

☂ lens review (ifairy: jewel grey)

Hello, hello, time for another lens review! Today I'll be reviewing the iFairy Jewel in grey from Adelaide Little Lens. For a full review of the shop, please check the end of my previous review here.

I'll also try to start making cosplay related tutorials next week for more variety of content in my blog, since I already have a lot of circle lens reviews prepared.

This lens' shade of grey is so natural and pretty, it's well suited for casual wear and for cosplay :) The true grey colour only shows clearly under really good lighting conditions, and appears dark grey/black for most of the time. I'm also a huge fan of the soft limbal ring because they blend so well!

ENLARGEMENT

This is probably one of the biggest pair of circle lenses I currently own, and dear god is it big. These obviously enlarge your eyes to freakish proportions, so makeup is highly recommended to balance it out.

COMFORT

★★★★★
I wore these lenses for approximately 8 hours for a convention on August, and not once did I feel any discomfort or dryness. It didn't feel like there was anything in my eye at all! I needed eye drops only after I took them out, but that issue is with every circle lens I wear.

It's natural design and great enlargement definitely makes it my go to circle lens for cosplay, and even casual wear (with the right makeup of course). It would probably be better for first time wearers to start from smaller diameters and work your way up, but I went from 14.2mm to 16.2mm lenses right away, and had no difficulty with adjusting to the larger size. Absolutely love these lenses!

I used this pair for my casual and pyjama cosplays of Mikasa Ackerman from the popular Attack on Titan/Shingeki no Kyojin. I took these photos when it was a cloudy day, so there's a lot of changes in the lighting much sorry!

Aaaaand also for Kaneki Ken from Tokyo Ghoul! WARNING fake blood at the end just in case.
